Bitsy's Sims 2 Desktop Wallpapers [Update: Forest]

One of these days I'm going to start coming out with wallpapers on a steady enough stream I'm going to need my own thread for it. As they come months and months apart now though...

Ne'er mind. I got in a mood.

This thread is for all of my wallpapers that I make using screens I took in the Sims 2. The older ones will join these shortly. Done.


*New* 01.18.08 - Forest

This latest offering comes from a picture I took of Alithiel's forest for the Green theme for Simtography Saturday. I love how this one turned out and worked hard to get a storybook/Tolkein feel to it. The brushes, once again are from the Script set at Simply Brush (now deceased). The font is Ruritania.

01.16.08 - Freya

Spoiler:

A picture of a girl named Freya. Fans of my legacy might realize who she is by her looks. I took this picture of her recently for the Green theme for Simtography Saturday. I made sure to get a full screen version as well and started messing with it in PSP. I tried a lot of new things this time around and am quite pleased with how it turned out. The brushes are from the Script set at Simply Brush, now gone.

01.08.08 - Valene & Valora

This is my latest wallpaper and the first one I've made since Skunk! Yes, he has been on my desktop for... many, many months now. I was ready for a change. Someone had asked for Valene and Valora, twin sisters from my legacy, to be uploaded once they became adults, which they finally did at the beginning of November. Between work most of November and the holidays I only have just now fired up Sims to sit down and play with no bloody interruptions! The first thing I did was teleport the twins to Alithiel's forest and started snapping away. I started replacing more and more of Alithiel's orange, red and yellow forest with pink to match the twin's clothes and accessories. The spring colors were a relief to see as I'm itching for spring. So I shot their picture for when I upload them, then panned back and shot another picture and decided that was going to be my new desktop wallpaper!

The brushes are part of the Script set from Simply Brush (they aren't around anymore) and the font is Mutlu, available most font places. The box can hold 56 icons at a 1280x1024 resolution.

05.10.07 - Skunk (I'm in ur cribz...)

I was playing my legacy family the other week (yeah, stuff's been busy) and was sitting there in double time working my way through my second snow day in a row when I saw a skunk walk up on the lot. No big deal, a skunk has dropped by a few times before. I watched him walk around the back and circle the pool then sit and think for a bit. Then he turned and walked up into my house. Not cool! I just had my Sims avoid him during the brief time he wandered around the first floor but I did get a screenshot of the weird event and, of course, made it into a wallpaper complete with lolcats grammar.

01.25.07 - My Worst Nightmare

I decided to turn my first round entry for the Photography Competition I'm in into a wallpaper. First off, because I can't take a picture and not do something to it in Paint Shop Pro. Secondly, I hated how small the picture had to be for the competition and I like having huge pictures so you can really see all the details. Finally, I wanted an excuse to edit her arms because they were cutting into each other oddly in the pose and so I fixed that up, added a box for icons and am now offering it for download.

01.18.07 - Twin Elves

A perhaps little known fact about me is that I love creating desktop wallpapers! I usually end up making a new one every other week. This time I made one featuring the twins that I was going to enter in lalalegacy10's twins contest. Unfortunately I procrastinated, got wrapped up in christmasy type stuff, and missed the deadline by a mile. Bad Bitsy! So, instead of being in a contest, they get to be on a wallpaper.

Here are my twins that I made in CAS: Diana and Daedalus Snodgrass, in their very own desktop wallpaper.

07.05.06 - Happy Fourth!

Spoiler:

After watching an excellent fireworks display tonight in Lombard I got inspired. So after putting the finishing touches on The Orphanage I went and played The Farmhouse a bit. I never had got around to setting off all of the fireworks that came with the holiday pack. Some of them could have gone on a bit longer then they did, but all in all a pleasant experience. I ended up making a wallpaper out of Jan, Pan and Hades playing with the sparklers, hope you enjoy it.

05.09.06 - Selene Windling

I'm competing, well Selene is, anyway, in a Little Miss Sim contest over at BoolProp FighttheAddiction False. Before getting full clarification of the rules I had Selene do her photo shoot for round three. Before I posted the photo I went with, luckily, the judge came back with clarification of the rules that made the shot of Selene not work for the round anymore. So I made the shot into a desktop wallpaper available in two sizes because, frankly, Selene looked so adorable that I simply didn't want the picture to go to waste.

I added all of my old desktop wallpapers, at least I'm pretty sure this is all of them, to the first post. There are at least two missing. One is really old and bad and I can't bare to put it up, even to show progression. The other got lost in the transfer between hardrives a year ago.
