Phew! I am glad that I got my submission in last night!

Glad you liked the play, I'm going to a musical about a former Australian Prime Minister soon. Yes that sounds weird but it's supposed to be really funny.

I love accents, I love listening to them and trying to imitate them. sometimes if I meet someone with one I make a lot of effort to keep them talking, or get them to say a certain word because I'm trying to get it right.

Sometimes when I watch TV I find American accents annoying, we get a lot of exported TV (Supernatural, West Wing etc etc) in which I miss the jokes due to not following the accent. At least I have Supernatural on DVD so I can go back and check. It's also hard to switch from a "British listening" to an "American listening" depending on which show I'm wathcing.

My friend would love you for having Supernatural.

And yesterday was the deadline! I know that Taylor's out, because her game isn't working and she kindly PMed me... but I don't know about amazed. I know she was having some technical issues, so I will PM her. I think Rayna's out, so....

Hello!! My names Katrina Sapisniz and I really don’t know WHY I’m entering this contest. I mean I would love to be crowned Little Miss Sunshine but I’m not really into the whole “pageant” thing and I don’t think I’m pretty enough.



My dad’s new girl friend Celine convinced me to do this. She is always saying how nice I would look if I dressed up a little bit and wore pretty dresses like this one.



But I’m not really a dress person. I prefer wearing my good old clothes that I can get dirty. My favourite activity is playing outside and making shapes with the clouds. Its so fun, you should try it sometime!

Hopefully this competition will teach me more ‘people skills’ as Celine says I’m a “recluse” whatever that means! This could be fun.

OK, that's much better. I guess I'd better introduce myself. My name is Laina Smith and I am 8 years old. I live in a flat with my parenrs and teenage sister, Su-Ning. I don't have the best life but it's not bad...I have my family, four grandparents, a roof over my head, friends and a safe place to be at night. My mum told me to enter as she thinks we might get more money. Our house is falling down and I have to share a sister with Su...and the new baby when she comes.



I don't watch TV, and our cmputer doesn't have any good games, so I normally bounce on my or Su's bed. It's very fun and energetic, but I broke my last bed doing it. We don't have much money left now.

My leotard for gymnastics is purple, almost all my clothes are purple, and Clara even let me get purple contacts instead of glasses! I love gymnastics and have classes every monday, wednesday, thursday and friday! That's a lot, but it's worth it.

Hi, there. My name is Blossom Lee. I am 10 years old and I entered the Little Miss Sunshine pageant because it sounds like fun. My mommy says I am a girly girl because I always am wearing dresses and I love the color pink. She even let me color my hair pink, well partially. She said maybe I could color it all the way pink in a few months. I want to win this pageant so I can then enter the Miss SimUSA pageant and eventually the Miss Sim Universe pageant. Mommy says you have to work for what you want, and I want this.


When Mommy isn't around I love jumping on the couch and on the beds. She says I shouldn't do it because they will break but I love the feeling of flying. When I am grown up I am going to fly airplanes - after I win the Miss Sim Universe pageant that is.


At night before I do to bed, Mommy reads me a story. Tonight she is reading to me about Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. She says it is a classic. I like it when she reads it to me because I can close my eyes and imagine that I am there in the book.

Well first things first, i can act! I went to an audition a few nights ago to star in a movie, and my nana got a call from her agent about it!
She said the producers LOVED me! But i can't see why not! See on this picture, im doing a sad face! I do a GREAT sad face! Don't I!

I have many friends, who are just as loud and active as i am! I love to jump around in the day, and i love that feeling of pure exhaustion at the end of the day. My name is Sheba Tellerman-Jarvis and I'm not allowed to wear makeup but my mom says today's a special day so she should put some on me. I finished my essay. I'll read it. Why I Want To Be Little Miss Sunshine, by Sheba Tellerman-Jarvis.. I think that being Little Miss Sunshine would be a big deal.. the kind of thing my mom calls "a great honor". I've always wanted to be a winner, but it's hard when you've been born under something called a 'bad sign' and you're like me, playful AND generally not very nice. I try to be nice, I really do.. and my mom and daddy help me practice as much as they can. My daddy is a BIG winner, he's the mayor of our entire land! My mom's a pretty big winner, too. She says she's some kind of a scientist, but she comes home with green slime streaks on her uniform and a metal glove on one hand. I don't know what she does at the big lab where she works, but she really seems to like it, she always comes home stinky and happy!


I have a talent. My talent is singing. I think maybe when I grow up I'll join a band. Or I might be a vet. Daddy says anyone in this town can be anything they want to be. I hope he's right. I really want him to be proud of me. Maybe I'll be a chef. I like making muffins.

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Ponting. The picture above is me with my family, we all live in a huge house with large grounds, my dad says we’re wealthy. The fountain is on top of our family crypt, that’s where my mother is. She died when I was little, I don’t tend to get upset because I don’t remember her, but I know it hurts my sister. I like the photo because we all got distracted by a shooting star when it was being taken, I think my sister likes to pretend it was our mother. Anyway, in the photo my dad is on the left, he used to be a lawer but now he travells all around the world opening schools and shelters in places like Bangladesh and Mozambique, so my sister looks after me. I help people too, I have 5 sponsor children, I give them half my pocket money and anything extra I get given by my grandparents. Next is my sister Flick (her real name is Felicity) and her boyfriend Jeremy. He moved in with us and brought his dog Lara. He’s really nice and funny, we play soccer together and he’s teaching me how to curve a ball properly. On the right is me. That’s not what I usually wear but I had to get dressed up for the photo. At least the dress isn’t pink (blegh!) My favorite colours are blue, green and purple. My sister made me the dress, she’s a fashion designer. Jeremy’s studying to be a doctor. I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, I just want to help people.


When my father’s away I get to spend time with my sister. Here we’re playing singstar on out playstation. Jeremy took lots of photos of us dancing in out PJ’s. My sister designed her pyjamas. There part of her brand “Free Trade Fashion” she buys her fabric on free trade principals and employs workers who recently immigrated and pays them fair wages. I know lots about this stuff because I want to do voulenteer work when I’m a teenager. Maybe I’ll go to Bangladesh to make houses or something. I also like to read about history but sometimes it makes me sad because of all the bad things that people do to each other. I also like Maths, I have a gift for numbers. I really wanted to enter this contest after seeing models work for my sister. It looked like so much fun! My sister said this would be like modeling but with extra fun! Also, our estate is called Sunshine Place, so it seemed an appropirate choice


This last photo was taken on our grounds by my dad last summer holidays. I’m wearing my favorite shirt. I call it my soccer shirt. I like to watch soccer on TV with Jeremy and I’m on the local A-grade team for my age. The team also gets together to volunteer for cleanups in the city and soon I’ll be old enough to work in a soup kitchen. As you can see I’m a very active girl but really I just want more people to be able to live the life that I can enjoy. If I were to win Little Miss Sunshine I would use any money and my position to help people who weren’t born into a privileged life like me. I guess I’ll be seeing you all soon. Good luck to everyone!
