Alithiel Iirlanth
Please click images to enlarge.

Our lives changed forever the day Alithiel found Calle. Alithiel was helping me clean the apartment and I had sent her to take out the trash. I didn't know at the the time that our trash can was doubling as a hiding place for a scared young girl, a halfie named Calle.

Halfies are beings that are half elf and half human. One of the reasons the Veil fell was because the Council was concerned over the fact that more and more elves could not have children of their own. It's why Tylesh and myself remain childless. The decision proved to be a good one as it was discovered in Bordertown that while elves still had problems having children with other elves, they could have children with humans without difficulty. Unfortunately these halfies are not very well treated as some elves are of the opinion that halfies are low class beings due to their hybrid nature. They are poorly treated by those elves, the young ones especially, hence the reason that when Calle saw Alithiel coming the poor thing ran and hid.

My Choice

Alithiel though, showing some true Iirlanth spirit, managed to convince Calle that she meant no harm. She had been raised by us to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Using some of her rather tenacious enthusiasm for adventure which I've always found to be infectious she convinced the girl to follow her and before the poor girl knew it, Alithiel had brought her inside and was showing off her forest room. Calle seemed suitably impressed but she was really won over when Alithiel showed her a book that her uncle had gotten her for her twelfth birthday. Something called Lord of the Rings that is three books in one. The two girls spent quite a lot of time giggling over the book which apparently is a story that includes a human concept of elves. There were even some "movie" pictures in the back, whatever that means, that really set the girls off. Apparently there was a blonde elf in the book that is quite "cute".

In Action
Image

Calle is a dear, sweet child and if it wasn't for Alithiel we would never have known about the very real plight of halfies here in Bordertown. Her human mother had been having problems finding housing for herself and her daughter because of her child's heritage. So what Alithiel started, we continued. We helped Calle and her mother find a place to stay right here in our apartment complex. Tylesh even got inspired and began writing songs to help raise awareness about the unfair treatment of halfies.

Not everyone agreed with us, of course. Elven children still gave Calle a hard time whenever they came upon her. Fortunately Alithiel was usually there by her side. She considers Calle as a sister and so is set on helping and defending her no matter the cost. Why just the other day Alithiel and Calle had taken a walk down to the River of Madness to take in the sights only to meet up with a gang of River Rats.

Full Body

I'm still not sure if it was Alithiel's impassioned defense of Calle, Calle's strong right hook or the fact that, unlike an elf or a human, Calle could walk right up to the river and touch it with out falling into a deep sleep like an elf would or going mad like a human would... either way the River Rats were suitably humbled and they backed down and left Calle alone after that.

What Alithiel did the day she took out the trash might not be considered all that spectacular. She made a new friend, raised awareness of a truth most of us don't like to think about, put things in motion that helped a few people in a big way and helped change the minds of a few unruly River Rats. But, while it may not have made a huge difference in the grand scheme of things, Alithiel did make a difference in one little girl's life. To Calle she made all the difference in the world.

Note: On Saturday from 12:15AM-5:00AM PST (GMT -8) my images will not be available. My host is cutting power to the building to fix some bad electrical wiring. Just thought I should let you know.

Helping

Heelllooo everyone! Remember me? I'm May Belle Wellington! This round is about who I help do stuff! Even though I help my mommy with grocery bags, and help my dad lick the cookie batter bowl clean, I help my sister more!

See, my sister's eyes are broked! My mommy says that her eyes aren't 'broked', but she's 'blind' which means she can't see. Mommy says it's like putting a tissue over your eyes, being blind.

Since Annie has broked eyes, I need to help her esstra! I have to show her around...and stuff.

Like the other day, Annie tripped in the park and she couldn't get up, so I helped her get up! Then when we got home, I put a bandaid on her knee to make her feel better! :)

On Saturday mornings, me and Annie like to watch TV in my bedroom! After I watch my shows (Dora the Explorer, Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents) she likes to watch icky romantic shows and home makeover shows.

Since she can't see the TV, I always tell her what's going on! I try to read the words that pop up on the screen telling you what's going on sometimes (we have a SPECIAL blind TV) but I'm not so good at reading so I mess them up sometimes.

So I just tell her what's going on! ^_^

Here are me and my sister, playing dress-up and jumping around!

I love to help my sister because when I help her she gets all happy, and I love to see her smile! She has such a super-pretty smile!

And when we play dress-up, she can't see what sort of silly costumes I put her in! Tehee! See, she's a pirate wearing mommy's lipstick right now!

...shhhh, don't tell mommy and daddy, but I'm jumping on their bad! I'm so naughty!

Image
Misc
I love to read Annie stories with words! Not picture books, anymore. I'm too mature for picture books. Annie can't read all of the books I can read because she has to read...uhhh, um...brelli books? Maybe it was...brayyy-ul! Braille! She has to read braille books because she can't see the letters in ordinary books.

Could you believe they didn't have Junie B. Jones in Braille? I love to read her Junie B. Jones to show her how good a reader I am...and she always listens! :)

...
Hope you guys like ittt! :)

Ive had a major problem. I basically deleted the neighbourhood with my kid in, not realizing she was in that neighbourhood. And with the deadline being today, if i was allowed i'd re-make her but ive only got two hours till ive got to go to bed and i wont be able to do it in time :? Because TPear isnt online to give me "permission"

So yeah, this is me dropping out. i am SO sorry but i really didnt want to do this. This was my favourite competition, but i'll be watching. :)

Aww, I'm sorry you have to drop out, Abby! I loved Tyresha :)
Thanks for letting me know. I've had similar problems with my Sims... make you feel like *Duh*, right?

Actually, I probably said the deadline wrong. You have approximately four hours and 15 minutes to submit entries. Good luck everyone!
