But if I do decide to do a Season 2, you know I'll be looking for contestants and judges!

I am still grounded from my computer, but managed to sneak a couple minutes in on my dad's. I'll have to ask my mom if I can have it back tomorrow. I miss my computer. :(

I'm working on my entry, I really am. I just keep getting distracted by shiny things in the game. I've grabbed Alithiel from where she is in my Saved Sim in CAS for what must have been the fifth time today and while I was doing it went ahead and made a clone of her and made her human, just to see what she would look like. My husband thinks she's very plain, but I think she is still pretty cute, elf or human.

Back to the entry that's coming kicking and screaming, but it's coming! I hope every one else is having better luck then I am this round. I can't wait to see all the entries!

Alithiel Iirlanth
Please click images to enlarge.

Needless to say my uncle and aunt were less then pleased with my attempts at magic, since they usually resulted in large holes in the ground and big messes that needed cleaning up. The temperamental streams of magic that were felt in Bordertown were not helping me master my magic either. Finally my aunt Relkaea asked around and found a Guide for me. Guides are really old elves that take on students and help them learn to control and master their magic.

My Guide lived out in the country, not quite Bordertown, but not quite my beloved NeverNever either. It was full of life though with lots of plants and trees, lots of animals and fresh air, and lots and lots of work to do. At least I had Swift there with me to help, though he did more running around and chasing butterflies then help, really.

Full Body
Image

My Guide's name is Errala. She is an elder elf who left the forest of NeverNever to live where the worlds of the Faerie and the Real meet. She says it makes her potions more potent. Eralla also has a pet cat named Telerin, though Eralla says he's less of a pet and more of a surveyor that allows Eralla to live on the farm.

Eralla took me under her wing and told me the best way to learn how to focus one's magic was to learn how to focus one's mind first. Apparently that means you have to sweep the paths, beat the rugs, weed the garden, and of course help harvest the fruits and vegetables for Errala's potions and poultices. I don't know if it helps me focus, but it certainly makes me tired enough to go straight to sleep at night.

Mentor
Image

I go to work for my Guide three times a week for most of the day, but today Errala said she had a surprise for me. I had been working so hard for her and doing so well she wanted me to have a bit of a treat. Imagine my surprise when I looked over my shoulder to find Calle standing there! My Guide says that, while Calle did not have enough magic to focus it into a spell, she still had other gifts worth cultivating. But first, we could take a break!

Close Up
Image

Calle and I headed to the barn to lay on the straw and swap stories about Eralla and the things she was teaching us. When Telerin came in Calle got a sly smile on her face and reached into her pocket. She pulled out some green stuff that looked and smelled kind of funny. Telerin took an immediate interest in what she had in her hand and came over and sniffed at where Calle had poured some out on the ground. It was catnip! When I asked Calle where she got it she just smiled and said something about gifts worth cultivating. Before I knew it Telerin started acting really weird and went from the stern stuffy cat he had been before to a goofy hyper cat that had Calle and I in fits we were laughing so hard. I don't think this is what Errala had in mind when she told us to take a break!

Freestyle
Image

No, it was definitely not what Errala had in mind. So she said it was time to move on to work that was a little more challenging. She pointed to one of the huge wheels of straw out in the field and said I was to take it into the barn. How was I supposed to do that, it was nearly twice as tall as I was! She said she thought it was time for me to practice my magic.

Freestyle
Image

When I summoned my magic this time the clouds of blue and pink seemed much more centered around me. Instead of getting swept away in the amazing, terrifying, wonderful feelings I grabbed hold of them and focused them on that wheel of hay. Hard.

Freestyle
Image

Um, too hard. Once Calle shook the hay off she started to laugh at me. Swift soon poked his nose out from where he was covered in hay too. My Guide hadn't moved, but I could see her lips twitching. There may not have been a crater this time, which is an improvement, but it still looks like I have a lot more focusing to do. Eralla went and fetched me a rake.

Awww, I loved it Bitsy! Alithiel (Can you believe I still have to check how to spell her name?) Is really cute. I wish we didn't have to judge anymore! It was hard enough sending people away last time!

(Okay I'm done whining). Looking forward to seeing the others! Tb, did you pm Nathan and warn him the deadline is nigh?

Shoot! Ugh, I'll *try* to work mine together tonight, I've been jampacked with tests and quizzes this week...I'm not saying it'll be a great entry, but I'll try to have it in :)

EDIT: WOO! Finished!

Full Body

My mentor is my big sis', Anabel! I love her to bits and I look up to her as a ex...exapple! Even though Anabel can't see anything, she's always cheery. She can't see the beauty of the trees and flowers and kitties and teddies and princesses and handsome princes and...a lot of things! But she says she can make up what everything looks like and that's good enough for her. And she says anyone who doesn't think blind people are equal to seeing peoples are screw--
"May Belle! Don't say that! It isn't nice language for a little girl like you!"
Oh, and Anabel also watches my language very carefully.

Today she was telling the story of the handsome prince who was on an adventure to save the beautiful princess!

Close Up
Image
And then I tell her the rivveriting tales of how the prince saves a beautiful blonde princess named May Belle! :D

Image
A few days ago, it was raining outside! I was really bored! So I decided to go outside and play in the puddles! I think Anabel heard me splashing in the puddle, because then I heard rustling noises from the living room, which was her getting her walking stick, and coming out to get me. She told me "MAY BELLE! Don't stay out here in the rain like that! You'll catch cold!"

I was kinda confused. How was I catching cold? It wasn't cold out and I didn't even have a jar to put it in. But it wassss getting wet, and I was glad Anabel was coming out to get me. I was looking for a little attention, hee hee!

Image

"Come on May Belle! It's time to go in! We...uh, have cookies!"
"Hold on Anie, lemme just show you this cool trick!
"Okay, but then we go in, okay?
Even though she wanted me to go inside, she let me stay outside so she could see my cool trick - a cartwheel!

Image
Anie cheered me on as I did my cartwheel through the puddle! I ended up soaked after that because I fell in the puddle! :( But Anie brought me inside and wrapped me in a towel.

I love Anie! She's such a nice person and I good example! I'll love her forever and ever![/i]

Okay, this is far from a great entry, but I drew a blank for this one. lol I should have played their lot more often to get a better feel of her relationships.

My mentor is a girl named Lily Bradshaw. My parents were a little afraid of her at first, cos she looks weird and has funny hair, but then after mom talked to her she said Lily was a good person for me to be around. See, she's really smart and really nice. Sometimes she babysits me and Opal and when she does she always brings these books about cooking and fixing broken stuff. Mom says Lily wants to learn everything there is to know, but all I know is when she comes to visit she's fun to play with. She plays with me as long as I want to and she always talks to me about being kind to people and she knows the best pranks.

Image

Daddy told her that I like to paint and that I like science, so now she comes over a lot after school to tutor me and teach me how to paint. She says I'm getting better at it every day and she can't wait to watch me open a gallery and show off my art. Next week, she's going to start teaching me how to squish clay and make animals out of it!

Great entries, both of you! You're both locked. *lock*

Ahh Nathan I'm glad you got your entry in... I was worried! I knew that Strangel and SPL were working on their entries and whatnot. And now it seems like everyone has Seasons but me. ><;;

Mk. I have to be off the computer and in bed by 11 PM my time, but if SPL's entry is in at/before 12 AM GMT -6, I'll still accept it. And then judges may begin judging! :D

PS: I really like all the girls mentors so far *goofy*

Okay, CJ didn't have time before bed to finish working on her entry, and when she went back before work the lot was throwing errors so fast there was no way to get any further pictures done. She just called and asked me to go ahead and post the one picture and her story. She said if it's disqualified she'll understand, but she wanted to at least try since she signed on and agreed to put effort into this competition like everyone else was. So.. here goes. (I found an old pic from a different round of each, going to add those in - the first shot is the one pic she got, father's on the left, sister's on the right of frame.)

Georgia Curlong:
Image

I got the letter that told me how I'm supposed to write about my mentor, but I'm not sure who it is. I really look up to my sister and my dad. It's kind of confusing, trying to pick one over the other.

Image

When I spend time with my sister, she reminds me of how things can be hard for some people and how sometimes things don't turn out the way you want them to. She has a problem in her body that made her body grow a lot faster than she should. See, she's actually my little sister, but she looks like a grownup.

Image

Dad says it's forced her to become mature and wiser about things but I think it makes me wiser about things too. Sometimes, I don't get something I want or something goes wrong, like the birthday party we had where the cat jumped in my cake and splattered it all over my new party dress. I cried but my sister came over and hugged me, and got cake all over HER new dress, too. Later on, I figured if she can be so sure of herself and so calm about the problems SHE has, having a bad birthday party and getting my new dress dirty aren't that big a deal.

Image

Then there's my dad. He pretty much raises me and sis since mom is always so busy saving the environment.. But, he never complains about it. He never gets mad when I ask him to spend time with me instead of doing the dishes and he still plays Mary Mack with my sister even though she looks like she's his little sister instead of mine.

Image

He's real strong and real smart, too. I heard the headmaster call him "level headed". I think I know what he means.

I guess.. if I grow up to be like either one of them, I'd be happy.
